I can’t believe it’s been this long … 1999 was the year photographer Darren Walker put out an ad looking for models in San Francisco. I thought why not? And headed down to the Goth club Shrine of Lilith. Little did I know that that night would be the start of my amazing journey with Twisted Lenz and Girls With Glasses.

I love Elle! I’ve shot her a few times in the past and but now it’s her turn to say hello to the world and submit some of her own shots for all to see.
Greetings and salutations spectacle fans! I’m Elle and may look familiar to some of you as I had a feature several years back on this fabulous site.
I’ve always been a fan of glasses and can remember even in grammar school while the other kids were begging their parents for contacts so they didn’t have to wear glasses, I was asking for some. At the time my vision was perfectly fine yet I asked my mother to get me some professional frames with non-script glass lenses and I have rocking the look ever since.
I have a penchant for fancy brand frames as I just really like the style of most but I enjoy accessorizing with glasses to play up outfits .. To me, they are as important as jewelry, handbags and shoes.
Aside from my minor fashion obsession, I am a huge music fan as well, mostly of the indie persuasion, and enjoy DJing and going to as many shows as possible. I’m also a big fan of cooking, baking, and spending time with the two best dogs in the world Winston and Mogwai.
Glasses have become par of my signature look now and they work well with all of my interests!! You can’t pass on the glass!!
‘Ello there! Girls With Glasses kindly offered to have me on the site. So let me introduce myself; My name is Jolene Frances. You can find me at http://www.hercoffin.net. I’m a visual artist, new mother, and extreme introvert. Oh, and I have a growing obsession with collecting as many glasses as I can get my hands on. I had daydreamed for years about having an eyeglasses collection; A different pair for every outfit. I hadn’t started the collection, though, because I was under the assumption that having a large amount of eyeglasses would be costly and more of a hassle than I was actually willing to deal with (thinking I had to seek out cool frames on the internet or somewhere and then go find an optometrist that would put the correct lenses in.)
As it turns out, garnering a collection is so much easier and cheaper than I was expecting. I’ve found two websites so far that I absolutely love and recommend. (I should mention — I was in no way asked by these websites to promote these companies. I’m just genuinely passionate about the topic of eyeglasses!)
First, I discovered coastalcontacts.com. Coastal is great because when you sign up as new customer, you get your first pair of glasses for free. And I’ve found that they’re constantly having sales. I’m pretty sure that every pair I’ve gotten from them was free due to their sales, and I only paid shipping.
And the other site I recommend is zenni.com. Tons of their glasses are ridiculously low in cost. I bought six pairs from them (3 for myself and 3 for my boyfriend) and spent just over $50 for everything (and that included shipping!)
If anyone reading has their own collection, I would totally love to have a looksee at your glasses!

Katy Perry recently announced that she would be releasing her very own movie with Paramount this summer titled: “Katy Perry: Part of Me”, and just like Justin Bieber and The Jonas Brothers before her, it would also be filmed in 3D, as is all the rage these days. Katy Perry fans from all over the world will be able to experience her, in concert as if they were actually right there, in the center of the mosh pit… Do people mosh at Katy Perry concerts? I don’t actually know; I’ve not been lucky enough to attend one of her shows yet…
Fashion Queen Katy Perry has been very busy lately; she’s been spotted all over Paris for Paris Fashion Week. Here she was snapped, looking pretty as a picture with a long blue ponytail, pleated pink dress and pale blue long satin coat at the Miu Miu Fashion Show. But it’s her fascinating pink and red Prada sunglasses that grabbed our attention – Stunning.
Katy Perry is one of those lucky lucky people who just looks good in everything! A simple search for “Katy Perry Sunglasses” in your favorite search engine suggests that the Grammy winning singer seems to own more pairs of sunglasses or glasses than she’s had hot dinners. And all of them just look amazing.
Also captured at Paris Fashion Week, she was seen wearing these Audrey Hepburn style sunglasses. If you’re looking for something similar you could try these Dolce & Gabbana DG4076 Sunglasses in colour 501/87.
Katy must have checked-in extra luggage for her flight to Paris, as there was no shortage of outfits and sunglasses to go with them. She was seen earlier in the week leaving not too much to the imagination while wearing these smashing over-sized-white-rimmed sunglasses.
Looking back at some of her previous choices of eyewear fashion, it seems Katy can do no wrong.
She wore these Vogue VO2677S Cat-Eye style sunglasses in her E.T. music video.
Sticking with the Cat-Eye style glasses, Katy Perry is never afraid to try something a bit daring, even on a mundane trip to the airport, she was seen wearing these bold sparkly prescription frames. Or going for a more classical frame with these Ray-Ban RX5154 Clubmaster prescription glasses. Jealous much?
